those are some of the words to a famous japanese song called sakura or cherry blossom that plays during the spring time in japan. you've probably heard the tune before but never knew what it was about..

yeah, so in case you didn't realize it by now, this blog is going to be about cherry blossoms. the last 3 weeks have been cherry blossom season. they started blooming on march 25 and a week later were in full bloom. here are a few pictures..

the japanese love to get out and sit under them, as seen in the first picture.

they hold the promise that the long winter is over and spring is on it's way! yay!
