one year..? really..?

yep, truly it has been one year since i first arrived in japan.

it's been pretty much the best year of my life. i have changed drastically in my personal and spiritual life. God has bought me so much closer to Him. He's taught me so much about how to be the person He wants me to be.

of course, this year hasn't been easy at all. i've been pushed and pulled out of my comfort zone and challenged in ways that i would never want to be challenged in again... but something that i have learned through this all is that the closer we are to God's path for us the more we will be pushed and challenged. the first disciples didn't live an easy life. the world's conception of being a christian and living a "happily ever after" life and never doing anything dangerous or scary and/or facing any difficulties, is totally unscriptual... but that's another blog for another day.. sorry to sidetrack..

but yeah, it's been an amazingly awesome year. thanks for all your prayers, encouragements, greetings, letters, and packages along the way.

now one more to go!

::edit::
i also thought i would add a picture of the newest addition to my family.

a used yamaha fg-401 bought off ebay for $95.

my family is going to bring it to me when they come to visit in may. i'm pretty pumped about getting to play on my very own guitar instead of playing on my roommates (..not that there's anything wrong with playing on my roommates...)
